I happen to suffer from the so-called red-green deficiency. This defect makes it difficult to distinguish certain colors, usually green, red, and shades of purple. As an avid sports fan growing up, watching the game is usually no problem, because both teams wear jerseys that have no similarities. However, over the years, dark and dark jerseys have sometimes occurred, which makes viewing as a color-blind audience a nightmare. Many others are troubled by this, which leads me to believe that if both teams only have dark or white games, they should not be allowed to play. They must have obvious color differences, otherwise the game will not be possible.

Believe it or not, there are more color-blind people in the world than you think, because 1 in 12 men and 200 women are affected. When watching sports events, the jerseys are often dark jerseys, rather than white or light-colored jerseys. It is rare for both teams to wear dark jerseys, and this has not always been the case. The result is a cruel game, no one wants to struggle while watching entertainment events. Sometimes during an event, a team forgets to bring a suitable jersey or similar. I believe that all teams should carry two sets of jerseys, a light color and a dark color, in case this happens. There is no reason for people to experience visual pain when watching sports events intended for entertainment.

In a football match I recently reported, both Baylor University and Iowa State University wore dark colors. Baylor wears dark green, while ISU wears red, which is not an ideal visual match for me. Fortunately, I am familiar with the Bears as a team and can recognize players because it looks like a big team. I don't know why the jersey becomes like this. Although this happens and humans make mistakes, I find that I can't tolerate it. Teams that do not comply with the jersey color rules I assume should be forced to give up. I think this will help solve any future problems for fans suffering from color defects and ensure a seamless experience.

Last year, I watched my favorite NBA team Oklahoma City Thunder on TV. In their game against the Atlanta Hawks, their colors were red and white. The Thunder wear a sunset orange jersey, while the Eagles wear a red jersey. This caused me to turn off the TV and not watch it because I had a headache and wanted to know what was going on. I'm not the only person who feels this way, because many people on social media are talking about the atrocities of that game.

People need to be more aware and considerate of color blindness in sports, because this problem is too common to be ignored. This is an easy problem to solve and can be solved by some new rules. Sports are prepared for fans and spectators, so when a considerable part of the spectators may be color-blind, how can we mess up things as simple as jersey colors?
